The Online poker main variations are usually: Texas Hold’em, Omaha poker, Seven Card Stud. These Games are played in tournaments or as ring games, (short rounds played by online players from around the word). The main difference between the way an online poker tournament works and a ring game works is the way money is treated – in cash poker tournaments the chips used in the game are worthless if used outside the tournament, in ring games the players play with real money that. Another difference is – in ring games you can cash up when ever you want and in tournaments there are limitations that are different in each poker room. Basically the player can cash out in cash poker tournaments only after he or she has won or lost all the chips.
